A guide to coffee, wine & neighborhood spots in portland & beyond

About the Blog

Welcome! Caffeine & Chianti is my guide to coffee, wine & neighborhood spots in Portland & beyond.

I tend to build my days around a simple rhythm: coffee in the morning, wine at night, and slow moments in between. That usually looks like starting at a neighborhood roaster, ending at a wine bar, and filling the space in between with coastal drives, cocktail stops, and live music.

I’m drawn to places with atmosphere, the ones you don’t want to rush through. The cafe you settle into for a while, the winery worth the drive, the bar you didn’t plan on staying at all night. This blog is a collection of those kinds of spots, and the feeling of a day well spent in them.

About Me

With a background in hospitality and a passion for slow travel, I believe the best way to understand a place is through what people drink there. The neighborhood cafe, the local wine bar, or the small winery just outside of town often tells a deeper story about a region and the people who shape it.

What I’m Exploring

Lately I’ve become fascinated by the idea of place: how landscape, climate, and culture shape flavor. In wine and coffee, this concept is often described as terroir. Through this blog, I’m excited to highlight more of the people behind the drinks, from roasters to winemakers, and the environments that shape their craft.

A work in progress

I’m no coffee or wine expert (yet), but I’m always learning! Whether it’s discovering a cozy cafe in a new city or working a wine harvest among the vines, I’m here to share my favorite discoveries, recommendations, and stories in between.

Grab your favorite drink, slow down with me, and enjoy the journey. Cheers! 🙂
