A guide to local spots & memorable days in portland & beyond

About

About the Blog

Welcome! Caffeine & Chianti is my guide to coffee, wine & memorable spots in Portland & beyond.

I tend to build my days around a simple rhythm. It usually looks like starting at a neighborhood roaster, ending at a wine bar (or maybe spending the whole day wine tasting), and filling the space in between with coastal drives, cocktail stops, and live music.

I’m drawn to places with atmosphere, the ones you don’t want to rush through. The cafe you settle into for a while, the winery worth the drive, the bar you didn’t plan on staying at all night, the concert venue that turns into the highlight of the week. This blog is a collection of those kinds of places, along with guides, features, and recommendations designed to help you create memorable days of your own.

About Me

With a background in hospitality and a passion for slow travel, I believe the best way to understand a place is through the spaces people gather in: the neighborhood cafe, the local wine bar, the small winery just outside of town, or the music venue that brings everyone together for the night. The drinks, atmosphere, and the people behind them often tell a deeper story about a region and the community that shapes it.

What I’m Exploring

Lately I’ve become fascinated by the idea of place: how landscape, climate, culture, and atmosphere shape not only flavor, but experience. Through this blog, I’m excited to highlight more of the people behind the drinks and spaces I love, from roasters to winemakers to mixologists.

A work in progress

I’m no coffee or wine expert (yet), but I’m always learning! Whether it’s discovering a cozy cafe in a new city, spending the afternoon wine tasting, working a wine harvest among the vines, I’m here to share the places, people, and experiences that make a day feel memorable.

Grab your favorite drink, slow down with me, and enjoy the journey. Cheers! 🙂
